The students at the Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) showed off their creativity and artistic skills in the FirstBank festival T-shirt competition.

Students at YEP created designs that depicted festival in the BVI and captured this year’s festival slogan “Remember the time.” Eight designs were submitted and the Bank’s management team voted for their favorite.

The winning design was submitted by 12 year old Silke Tittle and depicts a lively festival scene incorporating many aspects of BVI culture as well as a very quaint version of a FirstBank branch.

The winner of the competition will receive a monetary prize from FirstBank and a contribution was also made towards YEP’s art program.

The Youth Empowerment Project was founded in 2003 with the vision of providing a safe environment for young people to explore and pursue productive interests while fostering meaningful relationships and creating a sense of social responsibility. Today YEP has over 100 members.
